Yes, if your contribution is designated to a program outside our community Last year United Way's Agencies helped many in Columbia, Hamilton, and Suwannee Counties:

Ensuring our Childrens Future
Furnishing Food Shelter and Safety
Promoting Independence and Wellness

In 2007 United Way agencies spent over 13 Million dollars in services in the Suwannee Valley helping over 24,000 clients in need.

Aren't United Way agencies just for the poor?

No, Contributed dollars are distributed where they will do the most good for the entire community. United Way agencies provide services that benefit the entire community. Perhaps you, a co - worker or a member of your family has benefited from the services of a United Way Agency?
